The Wee House Looe

Local Area

The historic harbour town of Looe is situated on the south-east coast of Cornwall, approximately 20 miles west of Plymouth.  Looe is famed for its picturesque town and coastline and boasts a beautifully clean sandy beach for you to laze away the days.

Divided into two by the Looe river there is something here for everyone; fishing (home to the Shark Fishing Club of Great Britain), diving and snorkeling, glass bottom boats, sailing, pubs, bars, restaurants, amusements, horse riding, day trips to Looe Island....there is just so much to do!

Seals have been regularly spotted in the Looe Harbour this year, probably descendants of the world famous "Nelson" coming to scrounge some fish from the fisherman's and some admiring glances from visitors and Looe residents alike.

This year (2008) in June, saw the biennial 'Festival by the Sea' where you can sample the delights of the local restaurants and be entertained by a variety of seaside performers all over the quayside.

The Carnival Week ran this year 26th July - 2nd August 2008, don't miss out on the fun, contact us now for availability next year.

The Maritime City of Plymouth offers a wealth of activities and is only a 35 minute drive from Wee House.

A little further out there is a huge amount more to choose from; the market town of Liskeard, a wide range of secluded coves and beaches and only a short drive away is the the Eden Centre.

A warm welcome awaits at Wee House with Welcome Pack including wine, biscuits and fresh local milk.
